There was great excitement in The Meeting Place Club this week as we were all invited to the annual lighting of a huge Christmas tree in Finglas Village.  Mammie’s served drinks, sweets and lots of nice things while one the daddies became Santa Claus for the evening.  The spirit of the community was there for all to see with marquees erected; mikes and sound systems powered up so that the Meeting Place Club’s Warrior Band could entertain all with a fabulous selection of Christmas tunes and some of their favourite songs.  A great night was had by all and it was super preparation for our own Christmas party and our pending performance at the Mansion House in two weeks time.
